Nocturne Narcisse
Deep, resinous Oud of infected Agarwood
Resounds an eternally youthful, lovely Narcisse,
Beauty of spirit, too
Narcotic and erogenous ~
Draped in the musks of his freshly killed deer
Elegantly threading the agarwoods and cedars
Dry breath of thujopsene, phenyl verbenone
The hunter exemplar, in a forest of mirrors
As seen through the fawning eyes of his lover, Echo
Patient in her resonant cave
In her dark, sweet sylvan musk,
Exalted in her bounty of esteem
On glade-edge of spring rot-bloom
On gold-green of whispering footstep
damp sunlit soil with fungal undertones
Wildflower bloom over decomposing leaf rot
From Spiderwort to Dogwood bloom
Above the veinwork of subterranean mycorrhizae
Preparing, fixing the soil
Of a love rotted naturally
As the overspilled green sap of nascence,
shoots bittersweetness
